Wabash County Back In COVID High Transmission Level
Wabash County is back in the COVID high transmission level. Health Department administrator Judy Wissel told the county board Tuesday that there were 240 positive COVID cases last month in Wabash County causing the move back to high transmission. The 240 figure doesn’t include at home tests. COVID testing continues each weekday from 11 to 3 at the health department. Weekend testing at the health department has been suspended.
Wissel said the health department is now offering the COVID Bivalent booster vaccines starting today. She said the health department has only received 100 doses at this point in time, so you need to call to make an appointment. Wissel said she expects to be plenty of vaccine inventory as it gradually arrives.
