On 8/29/2022, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Brockton R. Darnell, age 38, of Murphysboro, Illinois, on a Jackson County Warrant for Burglary. Darnell was taken into custody at a residence in the 400 block of West 2nd Street and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending extradition back to Jackson County.
