IDOT Pushes 9th Street Resurfacing Back At Least One Year

Motorists who have grown weary with the deteriorating surface of 9th Street in Mt. Carmel will have to wait even longer to see the roadway resurfaced. Ninth Street from Cherry Street west is maintained by the state department of transportation since it is a state highway. Mayor Joe Judge says the project had been included in the state’s 2022 transportation budget, which means the work would’ve been done sometime between now and next July.
