Reckless Driver Complaints Lead To Drug Charges For Keensburg Man

On 7/14/2022, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Johnathan L. Schrodt, age 37, of Keensburg, for Driving While License Revoked, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Police received two public complaints about a reckless driver operating a silver Pontiac Vibe.  Police located the vehicle at 9th & Mulberry where contact with made with the driver, identified as the above defendant.  Schrodt was unable to provide proof of ownership of the vehicle, claiming he had recently purchased it but had no documentation to confirm this claim.  During this time, it was discovered Schrodt also had a revoked driver’s license as well.  Due to these circumstances, Schrodt was informed the vehicle would be impounded and as the police began a vehicle inventory for the tow, they discovered a glass lightbulb pipe with residue that is commonly used to ingest narcotics, two containers of suspected methamphetamine, another glass pipe with residue, and a pink colored liquid inside a container.  These items were taken as evidence for further drug analysis with Schrodt being charged with the above offenses.
