Evelyn E. Dorney, 55, of Keensburg, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital, in Olney, IL with her family by her side. She was born on June 2, 1967, in Port Washington, Wisconsin, the daughter of Ezra D. and Irene M. (McDaniel) Dorney.

Evelyn loved her family and was very proud of her son, Shane. Together, they enjoyed watching various sporting events. Evelyn enjoyed cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. She liked the outdoors and always enjoyed being on the water fishing. While relaxing at home, Evelyn enjoyed watching cooking and crime tv shows. She was fond of all cats and dogs. Evelyn always looked forward to playing bingo with friends. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Evelyn will be remembered by her son, Shane Dorney; parents, Ezra and Irene Dorney; brother, Johnathon Dorney; sisters, Teresa Hermandez and Kathleen Ayres; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her sisters, Linda Dorney and Joan Close.

In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes, cremation rites will take place and no formal services will be held at this time.
