County Getting Outside Help In Administering ARPA Money

Wabash County is receiving $2.2 million in federal money under the American Rescue Plan. But there are strict guidelines placed on how the money can be spent and if those guidelines aren’t met, the federal government can demand repayment of the funds. To protect the county from facing an issue with the process, Wabash County Commissioners Monday voted to spend $20,000 with Bellwether GPS, a Veteran owned, Illinois based consulting firm providing services to both public and private sector clients. Bellwether will advise Wabash County officials on how and where the money can be spent, something board chairman Rob Dean said was a smart decision…
