The Mt. Carmel City Council has given Mayor Joe Judge and City Clerk Ryan Turner the go ahead to negotiate the purchase of property near Chandler Drive. Judge said the first priority with the purchase is to give the city utility easements they currently pay a royalty for. The 15 buildable lots are being purchased for $47,000 which will be paid for out of TIF funds.
