Traffic stop nets arrest of two on drug charges

On May 31, 2021, at 5:44 p.m. Gibson County Deputy Zach Lienemann conducted a traffic stop on a Gray Passenger car for speeding on County Road 400 South near County Road 350 West. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Lienemann detected the odor of burnt Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. At that point Deputy Lienemann and Deputy Brian Naas began a roadside investigation. At the conclusion of their investigation Deputy Lienemann placed 26-year-old Natalie Cozart and 57-year-old Pamela Milligan both of Owensville into custody and transported them to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Jail Ms. Cozart was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. Ms. Milligan was charged with Possession of Marijuana. Both individuals have posted bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
