On April 27, 2021, Dakota Dent, a 23-year-old Mt. Carmel, IL resident, was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections by the Honorable Circuit Judge William C. Hudson.

Defendant was initially charged on May 20, 2016, with Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials and placed on probation.   A Petition to Revoke Defendant's Probation was filed on March 9, 2021 and following the Defendant's admission to the violation of probation, the Honorable Judge William C. Hudson resentenced the Defendant to 6 years in the Department of Corrections to be followed by 2 years of mandatory supervised release (parole).
