ILLINOIS STATE POLICE TRAFFIC CRASH ALERT  

The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by

Illinois State Police District 12 

WHAT:                      Single Vehicle Personal Injury Traffic Crash

WHERE:                   Lawrence Co. Rd. 250E. at 800N,  3 miles south of Sumner, Lawrence County

WHEN:                      Apr. 26, 2021 at approximately 6:58 p.m.

VEHICLE:                Unit 1- 1996 Black Harley Davidson Motorcycle

DRIVER:                   Unit 1- Russell D Tomblinson, 56-year-old male from Noble, IL – Flown to a regional hospital with serious injuries.

PASSENGERS:         Unit 1- Teresa L. Redman, 54-year-old female from Olney, IL – Flown to a regional hospital with serious injuries.                      

PRELIMINARY:      A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling north on 205E just south of 800N in Lawrence County. The driver of Unit 1 lost control on loose dirt and rolled the motorcycle into the left ditch, ejecting both the driver and passenger. Both occupants were flown to a regional hospital with serious injuries.

CHARGES:               Unit 1 driver was cited for Improper Lane Usage. 

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
