The latest jobless figures for Wabash County show unemployment edged down slightly in February. The Illinois Department of Employment Security reports that the jobless rate here in February was 5.1%, compared to 5.9% in January and 3.1% in February of 2020. Richland County had the lowest February jobless rate at 4.7% while the highest was 9.8% in Pulaski County. The I-D-E-S reports employment gains in trade, transportation, and utilities while employment declined in most other sectors.
