So far, Wabash County Health Department Administrator Judy Wissel said the health department has given 940 COVID vaccines with 500 of those being administered at a clinic last Friday. She said another 500 doses will be given this week.

Turner said those wanting the vaccine should avoid calling the hospital and call the health department instead. Currently, Wissel said the focus is getting the vaccine to those 65 and older with a clinic set this week for K through 12 educators along with daycare staff. She said as the 65 and older group wraps up, the health department is continuing to add other groups into the schedule.
