Plans are slowly but surely coming together for a new acute care behavioral health facility on Mt. Carmel’s west side. In February of last year, Dr. Maqbool Ahmed told the city council of the plans to build the $5 million 24 bed facility on Enterprise Lane. At the time of his presentation, Dr. Ahmed said the facility would create 50 new jobs in Mt. Carmel. His group operates a similar facility in Benton, Kentucky.
