On 3/07/20 Mt. Carmel Police arrested Jana R. Bare, age 35, of Mt. Carmel, for Driving While License Suspended, Operating Uninsured Vehicle, Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 400 block of West 2nd Street.  The arresting officer recognized Bare operating a vehicle and knew she had a suspended driver’s license so he attempted to conduct a traffic stop on her when she stopped the vehicle and ran into a nearby residence.  The officer was able to locate Bare and placed her under arrest.  A search of the Toyota truck she was operating resulted in officers locating suspected drug paraphernalia that is commonly used to ingest illegal narcotics.  Bare was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged and held pending the posting of bond.
