Even though most things have ground to a halt because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the wheels of government must continue. At Monday night’s brief Mt. Carmel City Council meeting, finance commissioner Eric Ikemire reminded department heads to work on their budgets for the next fiscal year. Commissioner Justin Dulgar said he was scheduled to meet today with the water and sewer department heads on their budget. There are just two more council meetings before the city’s new fiscal year starts on May 1st.
