Fort Branch man arrested on DUI charge

On February 8, 2020, at 1:48 a.m. Gibson County Deputy Michael Rose observed a two vehicle accident happen in front of him on US 41 at County Road 1250 South. Upon approaching the vehicles he detected the odor of alcohol coming from one of the drivers 53-year-old James Robertson of Fort Branch. At that point he began a roadside DUI investigation in addition to the accident investigation. Once Deputy Rose was finished with his investigations he placed Mr. Robertson into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Robertson was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He remains in custody on a $650 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
