Last Friday’s tax sale went off without a hitch, but it was one of the largest ones in recent memory. Treasurer Beverly McBride provided county commissioners with a recap of the Friday sale held in the courthouse. There were 27 buyers present. They bid on 157 parcels of land for a total of 125-thousand dollars, according to McBride. She said those totals are all way up this year.
