Traffic stop leads to arrest of Fort Branch woman on DUI charge
On January 22, 2020, at 1:51 p.m. Gibson County Deputy Rose conducted a traffic stop on a White 2001 Chevy Lumina for failing to signal a turn on to West Street from Strain Street in Fort Branch. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Rose observed several empty alcohol bottles in the door of the vehicle. At that point he spoke with the driver 35-year-old Tiffany Nicholl of Fort Branch. While speaking with Ms. Nicholl Deputy Rose observed that she appeared to be confused and could not focus. At that point Deputy Rose began a roadside DUI investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation he placed Ms. Nicholl into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Nicholl was charged with Operating While a Habitual Traffic Violator and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. She remains in custody on a $750 bond and a hold out of Warrick County for a prior DUI warrant.
