The Wabash County Coroner’s office was called to a house fire in rural Wabash County where John Carwile, age 79, and his daughter, Sondra Burton, age 55, were pronounced deceased by the Coroner, Shaun Keepes.  Autopsies are scheduled for Monday, September 9, 2019 at the Wabash County Coroner’s Office.

 This matter is still under investigation by the Illinois State Fire Marshall, the Illinois State Police CSI, Wabash County Coroners Office, Wabash County Sheriff’s Department and the Mount Carmel Fire Department to determine what caused the fire.
