On 9/20/19 at 3:40pm Mt. Carmel Police, along with the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a call regarding a male subject being shot in the 300 block of Chestnut Street.  Dispatch was able to quickly get information broadcast to the responding units and the two juvenile suspects were taken into custody within a block of the shooting.  Upon further investigation it was determined that a high powered pellet rifle was used to shoot the male subject driving past the residence. Both juveniles have been placed into detention and the case is still actively being investigated.  The injured party sustained non-life threatening injuries but did require treatment at Wabash General Hospital.
