The Wabash County Health Department is getting ready for flu season in a big way. Administrator Judy Wissel told the county board Monday that the department has already scheduled 22 clinics in the community within the first 15 days of October, One of the larger events they will be at is coming up on October 10th – the Wabash General Hospital Wellness Extravaganza, from 10am-2pm. Wissel said the Health Department also co-hosted the “Fore the Kids” golf scramble with Zachry Construction and raised over six-thousand dollars, part of which will be used for sponsorship of the Children’s Mental Health Conference next spring.
