Smoke Testing Planned Next Week In Mt. Carmel

Residents mostly on Mt. Carmel’s north side are being notified of smoke testing that will be conducted next week on the city’s wastewater collection system. Commissioner Justin Dulgar told the city council this week that Hydromax crews will be in town next week focusing the testing from Parkview Church to North and South Drives and include Easy Street, and the Cherry Hills subdivision in addition to part of Carriage Hills. Justin Dulgar On Smoke Testing

Dulgar said if next week’s testing is successful, he hopes to be able to expand the testing city-wide. Smoke testing consists of blowing harmless smoke into the sewer lines and manholes in order to detect broken pipes and other defects.
