Coe Pleads Not Guilty To Verizon Armed Robbery Charges

An 18 year old Indianapolis teen charged in connection to the July armed robbery at Verizon Wireless in Mt. Carmel has pled not guilty to two Class X felonies of armed robbery. Latrell S. Coe appeared in Wabash County Circuit Court this morning where he waived his preliminary hearing and his attorney Abbey Brian entered the not guilty plea on his behalf.

Coe was one of four people arrested for the July 30th holdup at the 9th and Cherry Streets cell phone store. He’s being held in the Wabash County Jail on $1 million bond.

Evidence presented last month at a hearing for three others arrested for the robbery alleged that Coe and 18 year old Jaylen Davis were the two that brandished handguns and robbed the store. Coe had been held in Crawford County on other charges after he fled the scene where officers stopped the getaway car.

Davis and the alleged getaway car driver, 24 year old Anthony Suber, are due back in court on September 30th for a pre-trial hearing.

A fourth person, 20 year old Dionjahnae Cannon, was released from custody last month after Associate Judge Thomas Dinn III ruled that probable cause didn’t exist in her case thus dropping a charge of conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Wabash County Sheriff’s Deputy Keagan Bogard escorts armed robbery suspect Latrell S. Coe back to the Wabash County Jail following this morning’s court appearance.
