Mt. Carmel residents should be aware that city officials are cracking down

on in-operable vehicles.     City ordinances do not permit cars that do not run

and have expired registrations, license plates, and insurance.

Fire Chief Frances Speth, at Monday’s  City Council meeting said he

Is aware of illegal burning in the city….in specific old building materials.

Only recreational fires are permitted in the city limits, and those must

be contained in a pit.
