On 6/09/19 Mt. Carmel Police arrested Clint D. Dill, age 32, of Mt. Carmel, for Possession of a Converted Vehicle, Resisting a Peace Officer, and Driving While License Revoked.  Police were called to the Wabash River Bridge regarding a vehicle with its hazard lights on.  Upon arrival the officers found the suspect vehicle, a purple Chevrolet, sitting in the southbound lane.  Officers approached the vehicle and found a male subject, later identified as Dill, lying down in the vehicle.  Dill, who has a revoked Illinois Driver’s License, resisted officers commands but was eventually taken into custody.  Afterwards, officers contacted the registered owner of the Chevrolet and found it had been stolen from a residence in Mt. Carmel.  Dill was taken to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged and held pending a bond setting by a judge.
