Survey Marker Replacement Scheduled for SR 65 in Owensville
GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. –The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions for State Road 65 near Owensville for a survey marker replacement project.
Beginning on or around Thursday, May 16, contractors will be replacing survey markers on S.R. 65 between S.R. 165 and S.R. 64. Survey markers provide anchor points for county survey teams to provide accurate information concerning properties in a location for permitting and other official purposes. As a part of this operation, survey markers that were disturbed during the recent repaving project will be replaced. During the operation, workers will be primarily performing work in the center line during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and one lane will remain open at all times. Work is expected to last until the end of May depending upon weather conditions.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
