MCJHS students had a rewarding day in Carbondale at the Regional Science Fair on April 2nd.  $900 dollars was the combined amount awarded to the students and the school in monetary prizes.  Caleb Carwile, Lixie Slane, Liv Alka, Owen Dougherty and Gage Kennard, all received monetary awards for their efforts.  All students participating were judged and their scores received the following rankings:  Jalynn Seal- Silver, Braelyn Patton and Hope Lane- Silver, Gabe Henson and Jacob Wall- Gold, Jimmy Linn and Sam Stoeffle- Silver, Rilee Riggs- Gold, Eli Sherman- Gold, Caleb Carwile- Gold, Lexie Slane- Gold, Liv Alka- Gold, and Owen Dougherty and Gage Kennard- Gold.  Students receiving a bid to compete at the State level include: Caleb Carwile, Eli Sherman, Lexie Slane, Live Alka, Owen Dougherty and Gage Kennard. The students are all 8th graders taught and sponsored by Sarah Dougherty. Congratulations!
