03/04/2019-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 50 year old Marek Nowak of Des Plaines, Illinois for DUI after he was stopped in the area of 7th and Market Street.  Police reported the driver had an alcoholic beverage smell coming from his person.  Nowak was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with driving while revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and DUI.  Nowak was held pending the posting of bond.
