LUCILLE BATSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO TREVOR JACKMAN
Mt. Carmel, IL – The 2018-19 Lucille Batson Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Trevor Jackman, a freshman at Wabash Valley College.
The Lucille Batson Memorial Scholarship has been established to assist students pursuing an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Career and Technical Education programs. This is an award of $500 to help offset the cost of tuition. This scholarship is awarded to applicants based on high school grade point average and letter of recommendation submitted by a vocational instructor or high school counselor.
Trevor Jackman is a graduate of Red Hill High School and is the son of Chad and Lori Jackman of Sumner. In high school Trevor was involved in FFA for four years, Band for four years, Lawrence County CEO Business Class, Youth Group, and assisted in clearing storm damage in Sumner. Trevor’s future plan is to possibly transfer to Vincennes University after WVC and find a good career in Ag before returning to the family farm.
