Mt. Carmel firemen were dispatched to a report of a fence fire over the noon hour today behind the residence at 914 Parrish Street. Thick, black smoke filled the air as firefighters arrived on the scene to quickly douse the flames that were dangerously close to an MCPU utility pole.
