WHERE: 1900th St. N/B .38 Miles South of 800th Ave. (Near Willow Hill)

WHEN: 02/06/2019, 11:30 p.m.

VEHICLES: UNIT 1 – White 2015 Volvo Truck Tractor/White 2019 Wabash Van Semi-Trailer

UNIT 2—Light Blue 2009 Kia

DRIVER: UNIT 1- Driss Badarelli Boutahri, 56, Cincinnati, OH

UNIT 2- Margaret A. Pritchard, 60, Willow Hill, IL

PASSENGERS: N/A

CHARGES: UNIT 1 – Improper Parking on the Roadway

TRANSPORTS: UNIT 2 – Driver was transported to Richland Memorial Hospital

PRELIMINARY: Preliminary investigative details indicate Unit 1 was parked in the roadway at the location listed above facing Southbound in the Southbound lane of travel. The driver of Unit 1 was out of the vehicle on foot in the gravel shoulder located on the Eastside of the roadway. Unit 2 was traveling Northbound at the location listed above in the Northbound lane of travel. Unit 2 swerved to the left to avoid striking the driver of Unit 1 and struck the trailer of Unit 1. Unit 2 came to final rest in the East ditch facing West. Weather conditions at the time of the crash were dense fog.
