On 12/24/19 Mt. Carmel Police arrested Christopher R. Reed, age 25, of Mt. Carmel, for Aggravated Domestic Battery following a domestic dispute in the 100 block of N Division Street.  As officers investigated the report they found evidence that indicated Reed battered his wife during the dispute.  This charge became aggravated due to the nature of the battery.  Reed was later located in the 700 block of North Walnut Street where he was placed under arrest.  Reed was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged and held pending a bond setting by a judge.
