WHERE:                 RT 33 W/B Approx. 168 ft. West of 525th St. (Near Robinson, IL)

WHEN:                   12/18/2019, 6:58 p.m.         

VEHICLES:             UNIT 1 – White 2015 Chevrolet Silverado

                               UNIT 2 – Maroon 2019 International/ White 2020 Utility Semi-Trailer

DRIVER:                 UNIT 1 – Tanner L. Gordon, 31, Oblong, IL

                               UNIT 2 – Eric A. Morris Jr., 24, Decatur, GA

TRANSPORTS:      UNIT 1 – Unit 1 driver was transported to Crawford Memorial Hospital

CHARGES:             UNIT 1 – Improper Lane Usage

PRELIMINARY:      Preliminary investigative details indicate Unit 1 was traveling Westbound approximately 168 feet West of 525th Street when it crossed the center dividing line into the Eastbound lane.  Unit 2 was traveling Eastbound at the location listed above, when it was side swiped by Unit 1.  Unit 1 came to final rest partially in the Eastbound lane facing Westbound.  Unit 2 came to final rest with the tractor in the South ditch/embankment facing Southwest and the trailer partially off of the roadway facing Westbound.
