On 12.15.19 at 7:57 p.m. the Wabash County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a one vehicle crash on Highway 1 approximately 1 mile north of N 1550 Blvd. The driver of the 2004 Chevrolet pickup was north bound on Highway 1 crossing the Crawfish Creek bridge when the brakes were applied on what was believed to be black ice. The driver lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway landing in the wooded area on the west side of the roadway. The driver, 64 year old Janet Knowles of Allendale was extricated from the vehicle and transported to an Evansville area hospital. The vehicle was towed by Glenn's Towing. Many agencies assisted with the crash.
