On 11/23/19 Mt. Carmel Police arrested Darinel Arias Hernandez, age 45, of Terre Haute, IN, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop in the 200 block of West 4th Street. During the stop the arresting officer observed signs to suggest impairment from alcohol on Hernandez so field sobriety testing was conducted. During the testing several clues to indicate impairment were observed and Hernandez was placed under arrest. Hernandez was processed on the above charges and was held pending the posting of bond.
