Around 69 percent of Wabash County taxes due have already been paid. Treasurer Beverly McBride told the county board Monday that amounts to almost 7-point-6-1 million dollars. That leaves only 3-point-4 million dollars left to collect. The first installment is now late, which means a penalty of 1-point-5 percent will also be assessed. The second installment is due on December 13.
