VEHICLES:              UNIT 1 - Red over Black, 1987, Chevrolet Silverado

                                    UNIT 2 - Gray, 2011, Ford F-150

DRIVER:                   UNIT 1 - Devon L. Morlan, 20, St. Elmo, IL

                                    UNIT 2 - Ross E. Cornett, 51, Altamont, IL  

TRANSPORTS:      UNIT 1 Driver, private transport to St. Anthony Hospital, Effingham

                                    UNIT 2 Driver, transported by ambulance to St. Anthony Hospital, Effingham

CHARGES:               UNIT 1 - N/A

                                    UNIT 2 - N/A

PRELIMINARY:       Preliminary investigative details indicate, Unit 1 was traveling westbound on Moccasin Road near CR 600 E in Effingham County. Unit 2 was traveling eastbound at the same location. Heavy smoke from a hay bale fire was crossing both lanes causing limited visibility for both drivers. Unit 1 and Unit 2 proceed through the smoke and struck each other head on.
