RMC Preps For Holiday Season
The Wabash County Retail Merchants Committee has big plans in place for the upcoming holiday season.
The RMC is hosting the Festival of Trees in Merchants Park. All churches, groups, individuals, and organizations are invited to decorate a tree and put it up by December 2nd.
Small Business Saturday is set for Saturday, November 30th as the merchants will distribute 75 survival kits in front of The Attic. The first 75 shoppers will be given the kits which include specials and coupons along with a passport that shoppers will get stamped for a chance to win RMC gift checks.
Speaking of gift checks, the RMC reminds they’re available for bonuses and gifts year-round and they also keep local sales tax in the county to help Wabash County schools.
Also at yesterday’s RMC monthly meeting, organizer Brenda Bobbitt announced that the December 6th Christmas Uptown will be bigger and better than ever with the addition of live music featuring a jazz band. Also, returning will be as face painting, snowball fights, gingerbread house competition, carriages, train rides, hot chocolate, photo ops, cookie decorating, and more.
