WHAT: Fatality accident.

WHERE: I-70 E/B 3 miles west of Effingham.

WHEN: 10/30/2019, 10:30 a.m.

VEHICLES: UNIT 1 – Blue, 09, Volvo

DRIVER: UNIT 1- Maher Qaid-Hassan Adam, 38 of Dearborn MI. - FATAL  

TRANSPORTS: UNIT 1 – Maher Qaid-Hassan Adam by Abbott Ambulance to St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham.

 PRELIMINARY:  Preliminary investigative details indicate Unit #1 was traveling E/B on I-70 at M.P. 88, 3 miles west of Effingham, when it left the south side of the roadway going down an embankment, striking a ditch and coming to a rest in the tree line.
