WHERE:                   Interstate 70 at Milepost 80, Effingham County                       

WHEN:                      10/01/2019, 03:57 p.m.         

VEHICLES:              UNIT 1 - Black Cadillac passenger vehicle 

UNIT 2 - Light Blue truck tractor with semi-trailer

DRIVER:                   UNIT 1 - Theoplus Coleman, 43, Urbana IL (FATAL)

UNIT 2 -  David Wilson, 71, Mason IL

PASSENGERS:         UNIT 1 - None

CHARGES:               UNIT 1 - None

TRANSPORTS:        UNIT 1 - Unit 1 Driver was pronounced deceased on scene by the Effingham County Coroner.

PRELIMINARY:  Preliminary investigative details indicate Unit 1 was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 at milepost 80. Unit 2 was also traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 at milepost 80. Unit 2 was stopped in traffic due to a previous crash on Interstate 70. Unit 1 failed to reduce its speed and struck the rear of unit 2.
