Georgia man arrested on Criminal Recklessness charge

On March 6, 2018, at 11:52 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a vehicle traveling Southbound in the Northbound lane on Interstate 69 near the 35 mile marker. Upon arriving in the area officers located a green 2000 Chrysler Sebring and conducted a traffic stop. Upon approaching the vehicle officers identified the driver as 29 year old Johnny Rollins of Ellabell, Georgia. After a brief investigation Mr. Rollins was taken into custody by Deputy Ben Kiesel and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the jail Mr. Rollins was charged with Criminal Recklessness with a Vehicle. He remains in custody on an $1100 bond. 

Assisting Deputy Kiesel with investigation was Officer Amanda Hagen with the Oakland City Police Department and Sergeant John Fischer with the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office. 

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
