WHAT: Personal Injury Crash

WHERE:  I-57/70 South Tri-Level  Effingham  

WHEN: Sunday February 4,2018  3:44 pm

VEHICLES: Unit 1 – 2008 Silver Chevrolet Pickup

DRIVER: Unit 1 Driver – Brett Deters Age 27 Montrose, IL

         
PASSENGERS: Passenger #1 Taylor Davis Age 26 Effingham, IL
Passenger #2 Molly Webb Age 26 Effingham, IL

TRANSPORTS: Passenger #2 Webb was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital

PRELIMINARY:   Preliminary investigative details indicate Unit #1, was traveling I-57 northbound at the I-70 south split when it lost control on the snowy pavement.  Unit #1 went off the roadway to the right and struck the ditch and overturned.  

CHARGES: Driver: Brett Deters – Improper lane usage
Passenger #2: Webb – Failure to wear seatbelt

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
