The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by Illinois State Police District 12

WHAT:Injury Traffic Crash

WHERE:  Main St. at Vincennes Rd, Clay City, IL (Clay County)  

WHEN:October 30, 2018 at approximately 2:10 PM

VEHICLES:Unit 1 – Red Honda TRX 500 ATV

DRIVER:Unit 1 Driver – Daniel R Martin, 45, Noble, IL

PASSENGERS:None

TRANSPORTS:The driver of Unit 1 was transported by Air Evac to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

CHARGES:Driving while license revoked, Operating ATV on roadway, Improper lane usage, Driving too fast for conditions, No insurance

PRELIMINARY:  Preliminary investigative details indicate Unit 1 driver was travelling northbound on Main St in Clay City on a red Honda ATV.Unit 1 driver attempted to turn left onto Vincennes Rd when the ATV overturned ejecting the driver off the ATV.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
