Madorah Alice Crown, 79, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Oakview nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Carmel, Illinois.

She was born on September 6, 1945 in Wabash County, Illinois, the daughter of Harvey and Madorah (Chapman) Blood. She faithfully served our Country in the United Sates Women’s Army Corps where she served during Vietnam as a Nurse. Alice married David Crown on December 2, 1978 and together they enjoyed thirty-five years of marriage until his passing on August 21, 2014.

Alice was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Alice was a devoted Christian and was a fantastic prayer warrior. She attended Gospel Kingdom Church and Pinkstaff Methodist and loved her church family. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.

Alice will be remembered by her daughter, Jennifer Pinnick, three grandchildren, Trenton (Lacey) Pinnick, Abigail Pinnick and Zachary Pinnick; sisters, Mary Jane Druckenbrod, and Kathryn (Larry) Stout; nieces, Krystal Wyatt, Brooke Reeves, April Mills, Andrea Stout, Sheri Druckenbrod, Tammy Siegfried, Janis Serven and Gina Blood; nephews, Joel, Sean, and Danny Stout, Billy Druckenbrod, and Kyle Blood.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lovilah Blood, Vesta Millsap and Shirley McCloud; brothers, Charles Blood, Nolan Blood and Dale Blood.

A Burial with Full Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Friendsville Cemetery in Wabash County, Illinois.
