Bryar Matthew Clark, 13

Bryar Matthew Clark, 13, of Olney & Mt. Carmel, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at St. Louis Children's Hospital.

Bryar was born February 3, 2011 in Evansville, Indiana the son of Matthew Clark and Natalie (Brines) Clark.

Bryar enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping and was competitive about the possibility of catching the biggest fish. He was always the biggest cheerleader and enjoyed cheering on his friends and siblings at sporting events. Bryar loved to serve others and volunteered his time in the community. He also loved praying with others and attending youth group. He was a member of Heartland Worship Center in Mt. Carmel. Bryar was a loving brother and never met a stranger. His goal was to make everyone smile no matter the occasion. Dad Jokes were his favorite. He managed to always find the beauty in the small things that most would overlook.

Bryar is survived by his mother, Natalie Clark of Mt. Carmel, IL; father, Matthew Clark and wife, Maryellen of Olney; brothers, Deacon and Clayton Clark, Aiden and Nolan Logan, and Noah Thomason; sister, Khloe Thomason; maternal grandparents, Mark and Toni Brines of Mt. Carmel; paternal grandparents, David and Connie Clark of Mt. Carmel; maternal great grandmother, Betty Stein; paternal great grandmother, Lois Clark; uncles, Nick (Brandi) Brines and Nathan (Mindy)Brines, and Kevin Cravens, and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Kenneth and Zanada Cravens.

A visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

A funeral service will be held for Bryar at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Heartland Worship Center in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, with a visitation beginning one hour prior to service time at the church.

Interment will follow the service at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Carmel.

Memorials in Bryar’s honor can be made to Bryar Clark Scholarship Fund or Heartland Worship Center Youth Group.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.
