Eldon Leroy Nanney, 79,

Eldon Leroy Nanney, 79, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by his family.  He was born on April 30, 1944 in Wabash County, Illinois, the son of Elva and Wyaneda (Wilson) Nanney.   Eldon graduated from Mount Carmel High School Class of 1963.  He married Debra Berberich on October 23, 1971 and together they enjoyed fifty-two years of marriage.

 Eldon was a dedicated employee at Snap on Tools for thirty-two years where he made many friendships.  Eldon and Debbie enjoyed camping and loved spending the winter months in Florida.  In his free time, Eldon also enjoyed riding motorcycles.   He was a life member of the Gold Wing Road Riders.  He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

 Eldon will be remembered by his loving wife, Debbie Nanney; son, Tony Nanney; two half-sisters, Donna Orr and Pam Edwards; many loved nieces and nephews.

 Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Evalyn Allen and Norma Jean McCrary; niece, Cindy Gray.

 Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

 Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Allendale Cemetery.

 Memorial contributions may be made in Eldon’s memory to Wabash Rally Against Cancer (WRAC).  Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
