Carolyn Ann Majors, 68
Carolyn Ann Majors, 68, of Bellmont, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 28, 1956, in Robinson, Illinois, the daughter of Clifford and Katherine (Smith) Kendall. She married Robert Majors on May 19, 2018, and they have celebrated six years of loving marriage.
Carolyn worked for twenty years as a supervisor at Champion Laboratories and was a dedicated hard-working employee. Carolyn had a passion for camping. As a young girl and into adulthood, she made many memories camping and fishing at Lady Bird Bridge. She always remembered catching the biggest fish there. Carolyn dearly loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose presence will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Carolyn leaves behind her beloved husband, Robert; two sons, Chris (Jessica Wampler) Yokel of Albion, IL, Kevin Yokel of Crossville, IL; grandchildren, Ravyn Yokel, Phoenix Young; great grandchildren, Universe Gibbs, Alex Gibbs; sisters, Sherry Kendall, Kelly Nichols; brothers, Ronnie Kendall, Danny Kendall; several loved nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Clayton Kendall.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2024, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Vaughn Courter officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Hallock Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
