Albert E. Moore, 71

Albert E. Moore, 71, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family.   He was born on October 10, 1952, in Henderson, Kentucky, the son of James M. and Minnie Mae (Ligon) Moore.  He married Melissa Crawley on July 21, 1985, and they have enjoyed thirty-eight years of marriage.

Albert faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He worked many years as an oilfield hand.  In his spare time, Albert enjoyed working on small engines and fishing.  He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren brought him great joy.  He attended Heartland Worship Center with his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Albert leaves behind his beloved wife Melissa; three sons, Austin (Kelsea) Moore, Albert “Bub” Moore, Jeramy Moore; three daughters, Michelle (Travis) Eads, Melanie (Jeremy) Crane, Heather (James) Sherman; twenty-five grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy (Ron) Pulliam, and Betty Jackson; several loved nieces and nephews.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Moore; sister, Diane Cox; brothers, Billy Ray Moore, Roy Moore; and brother-in-law, Don Jackson.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2024, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. 

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2024, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Hodgson officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery with Full Military Honors.

Memorial contributions may be made in Albert’s memory to the family to help offset his final expenses.  Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
