Patricia Ann Krug, 87, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on June 25, 1936, in Wabash County, Illinois, the daughter of Alva and Ethel (Reel) Xanders. She married Robert D. Krug, Sr. on January 6, 1986, in Henderson Kentucky and together they have enjoyed thirty-seven years of marriage.

Pat worked for more than twenty years as supervisor of the kitchen at Shurtleff Manor Nursing Home. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching cooking and game shows on television. Pat and Robert enjoyed taking car rides together. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Pat leaves behind her beloved husband, Robert Krug, Sr.; one son, Grover J. Bright and wife Peggy; one daughter, Melinda Slunder and husband Gary; five stepsons, Robert Krug Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Gary Krug, Ray Krug and wife Jennifer, Patrick Krug and wife Christy, Brian Krug; many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; infant twin daughters; one daughter, Jimmy Sue Long; one son, Cody Bright; one grandson, Dylan Bright; two sisters, Helen, and Mary.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2023, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will follow the Visitation at 12:30 p.m., Monday July 10, 2023, at Lick Prairie Cemetery with Brother Bill Reed officiating.
