Melinda “Mindy” Lambert-Majors, 51, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Monday, January 31, 2023, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 25, 1971, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Clyde “Butch” Lambert and Carol Sue (Searls) Lambert. She married Ernest “Ernie” Majors on October 16, 2010, and together, they celebrated twelve years of marriage.

Mindy worked for Kmart, Crescent City Iron, Anderson Brothers Oil, and most recently, Opus Packaging. In her spare time, she liked to read and also solve sudoku puzzles. Mindy enjoyed attending concerts, taking road trips, camping and four-wheeler riding. She had a soft spot in her heart for bunnies and her favorite drink was diet dew. Mindy’s greatest joy of all was her family. She loved cooking for them and spending time together as much as possible. Mindy was very kind and caring, she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mindy leaves behind her loving husband, Ernie; children, Clyde Ordiway, Amanda (Allen) Harvey, Kylie Majors, Kendra Majors, and Lilly Majors; grandchildren, Joel and Clyde Harvey, Lexus and Christopher Majors; two brothers, Christopher (Karen) Lambert, and Timothy Lambert; several nieces and nephews.

Mindy was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Wayne Lambert.

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 6, 2023, at Hallock Cemetery in rural Wabash County with Pastor Allan Wright officiating.
